Independent and rebellious by nature; however he was a noted statesman and orator, Churchill was also an officer in the British Army, a historian, a writer, and an artist. The best prank you've ever pulled is: I was at a BBQ with close friends one Saturday afternoon; I went to pick up my friend Jeannie’s daughter, as I was the only sober one of the bunch. We had the stereo cranked up and were singing at the top of our lungs, when a wasp flew into my mouth. It stung my jaw, my tonsils, my tongue. I had to quickly pull over to get him out before I swallowed him or had a wreck, or both! When we arrived back at the BBQ house, Luka [Jeannie's daughter] jumped out of the car and ran in the house in a big tizzy, flinging her arms and talking really fast. She was 14, so you can imagine the drama. I took advantage of her dramatizing the story, as my jaw was quite swollen by this time. I waited a minute then stumbled into the house and fainted onto the floor. Everyone panicked; Jeannie was running around crazy looking for the phone to call 911, three of the guys had squatted next to me, arguing, trying to remember the proper procedure for mouth to mouth resuscitation, Debbie was looking for her medical journal to see what counteracts a wasp sting. And mind you all of these people had been drinking for 4-6 hours, I finally could not hold it in any longer and rolled over and died laughing! They were all very mad at first, but then they began to laugh and ultimately we all laughed together until it hurt! Then I took some Benadryl, the swelling went down within the hour, and we played Texas Hold’em for the next couple of hours.

Henk Griffin

Henk Griffin, 35

— Farmer

If we gave you $100 to spend on a date, how would you spend it? There is a spot in the hills next to a pond where I've been going for a number of years. Pine trees, birds, a creek, wildflowers, a campfire, steaks, potatoes, and since it's a date, I guess some salad and dressing is appropriate. If it's a first date, however, since my vehicle runs on fossil fuel and it does not have the option of plugging into an outlet, a happy meal at the drive thru will have to do, just in case she decides that there won't be a second date.

The best prank you've ever pulled is: On a hunting trip in Africa a few years ago, one of the guys in our group had a really hard time getting up early in the morning to hunt and delayed our starts. I got up extra early one morning and carefully placed the carcass of a warthog (that he shot the previous day) next to him in bed, poured myself a cup of coffee, and got comfortable on a couch on the opposite side of the room, anxiously awaiting his awakening. It went perfect. He started moving, put his arm around the carcass, and we assume it was the cold meat that caused him to open his eyes, only to stare into the snout of a hog. He flew out of bed, tried to make it out the window but failed, tripped over his boots, and came to his senses crawling out the door of his bungalow to find the rest of our group laughing and taking pictures of his escape.

If we gave you $100 to spend on a date, how would you spend it? I’d first split it in half. I’d get half and he’d get half; it would be two dates in one! I’d take him on a date and then he’d take me on a date! My $50 would first go to a pizza place – where we could make our own pizzas! Sounds weird but I think watching someone prepare their food can say a lot about them! It also lets me see their hands! The rest is a mystery…a girl can’t give out all of the goods…right?!

What is your DVR set to record? A million shows I think I want to watch and never end up watching! The last ones set to record were The Celebrity Apprentice and The Voice, that’s about it! I don’t watch too much TV…I’ve got life to live!

What's your favorite flavor of ice cream and why? Rocky Road! I love the mixture of creamy ice cream, crunchy nuts, and fluffy marshmallows! It’s diverse! It’s like a party in your mouth!

Craziest thing on your Bucket List: I’d love to travel to a foreign country with no agenda. In our everyday lives we are so structured and we plan so much. I’d love the exhilaration of going to an unknown place and not having a clue. New language, new customs, new environment, all leading to a new me! It will definitely put me (far) out of my comfort zone, which I think is always a nice reality check!

Do you have a hidden talent? I’m a singer and a writer. I couldn’t live without singing – but I’m sure my friends would beg to differ! They’re the ones who have to hear it all the time! Writing is my personal therapy! It’s the best outlet! If you’re looking for some odd hidden talent…I can pop just about every joint in my body, multiple times a day.

If you could trade places with anyone (living or dead), who would it be and why? I’m pretty excited about my own life…I think it’s kind of neat! But if I had to trade places with someone, I think it would depend on the length of the switch! If it was just one day, I’d probably say Abraham Lincoln. Seeing the world in a whole new way: in a man’s eyes, as a person of power (who started out in a not so powerful position), a president, and during a time so different than now would all be part of my reasons why – it would be indescribable! If it would last longer than one day – I’d say Marilyn Monroe because her life is so different from mine and so many people looked up to her. And…she’s pretty dope!

What's your favorite YouTube video? “Jessica’s Daily Affirmation.” If you need a pick-me-up, this is a must-see! It’s adorable and silly and yet still inspiring after watching it countless times!

What is the best gift you've ever received? An inflatable boyfriend! One year for Christmas my mom put ‘George, the incredibly growing boyfriend’ in my stocking…definitely a memorable gift!

The best prank you've ever pulled is: If I’m going to be honest, I’d have to say none. I’m the world’s worst liar – when I attempt to play a prank or tell a lie, all I can do is laugh and look facetious. Needless to say, it never pans out like I’d planned it to!

What's your personal motto? I have a few, but probably the most important is, “Stay positive.” Life is too short not to. I also live by two quotes: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Ghandi and “Be with those who help your being.” - Rumi

What's your favorite song to “bust a move” to? The Cupid Shuffle! Everyone can do this dance and everyone always has fun doing it! Cuttin’ a rug is my cure-all…if I’m not at work or at home, I’m on the dance floor…or dancing around my apartment with high-heels on (just to feel glamorous!).

Are you a night owl or an early bird? Most definitely an early bird! The early bird gets the worm, right?! I usually get to work at 6:00 a.m.! I’m known as a ‘grandma’ by my friends and family…I’m always the one who falls asleep watching movies at home!

Best piece of advice you've ever received: “You can do it!” My grandma always said, “If you can think it, you can do it!” She was absolutely right! In close second is, “Never forget make-out sessions, even when you’re old and grey!” I’d say that’s pretty darn important as well!

Would you rather have one wish granted today or three wishes granted in 10 years? Why? How about one now and two in ten years?! If I had one granted now, I’d know whether or not tempting fate is worth it to do it again in 10 years. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason…but who wouldn’t take the chance at least once, right?!

What is the best part of being single? The ability to make a decision based solely on what I want. I can be adventurous, spontaneous, irrational, or indecisive without inconveniencing someone else. Being single is about self-exploration and becoming the person you want to be – before jumping into something with someone else! Plus...all the more reason to buy even more pumps (shoes), right?!

What is your current Facebook status? No status – but my last post was a picture of a quote about music: “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” - Plato

What couldn't we pay you to eat? Mushrooms! The thought of purposely putting a fungus in my mouth just doesn’t sound appetizing!

Best age so far: 28 – every year gets better and better!

iPad, Kindle, or good ol' book? A good ol’ book! Nothing beats it!

What is your current Facebook status? “Headed to Santa Clara to watch my boys from DBV whoop butt.”
