Italian Bread Dip

Looking for a unique and easy appetizer? Look no farther. A great way to kick-off an evening in is by putting out some French bread and a classic Italian recipe to give that loaf some pizazz.

Ingredients

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 finely minced Garlic Clove
  • Fresh-cracked Pepper
  • Sprinkling of Basil
  • Loaf of French or Sourdough Bread

Methods/steps

  1. Pour about a ½ cup of olive oil into a dish.
  2. Add about two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and your minced garlic clove to the oil.
  3. Sprinkle fresh-cracked black pepper and dried basil leaves to taste. Now you’re ready to tear off chunks of bread and dip to your hearts’ content.

Additional Tips

Want something a little extra-special? Treat yourselves to an appetizer of caviar, Chèvre, and toasted slices of French bread. Brush a little extra virgin olive oil on the slices of bread and toast in the oven until golden brown. Spread a small portion of Chèvre and top with a small spoonful of caviar. Talk about decadent.
